With a whole 14-inch widescreen incorporated with a Twisted Nematic (TN) display. The HP EliteBook 820 G3 features LED backlighting and with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Also, with a 300:1 contrast ratio which works at a refresh rate of 60 Hz with a 250 cd/m² brightness.

Performance

This laptop is engineered to work with a 4th-generation Haswell Intel Core i5-6th processor. The processors a dual-core that clocks at the speed of 2.0 GHz and can go up to the speeds of 2.6 GHz, this can be achieved thanks to Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology.

With a dedicated 3MB of cache memory, the laptop comes with 8GB RAM,  and 500GB HARDDISK  space.

Performance

The Elitebook 820 G3 is aimed at private and professional users alike. The laptop’s computing power is enough for day-to-day use in the office or designing. Additionally, the laptop comes with typical business features to help users, e.g. Try the Trusted Platform module and a fingerprint scanner on the laptop.

The laptop is also compatible with a 3G/LTE modem or you can just connect it with WIFI. The laptop can operate on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, and 8.1, And finally Windows 10. For Linux users, the laptop is also compatible with most versions of Linux from Ubuntu, Slacko, and Kali Linux. Note that a copy of the Linux or Windows operating system is not part of the delivery.

Connectivity

The EliteBook 820 G1 is a professional device and this means it will have sufficient ports for all connections from connecting projectors to flash drives. It has a very comprehensive port variety for users to use.

A total of four USB 3.0 ports for you to attach your external USB drives with a lot of peripherals. External displays (up to two) can be attached via VGA and DisplayPort. You will, however, have to waive eSATA, the ExpressCard slot, as well as an optical drive – the price for the much smaller chassis construction compared to the predecessor. This is also the reason for the fold-out Gigabit-Ethernet port.

Security

HP considers their user’s security seriously, take this EliteBook for example which is equipped with solid security through several sophisticated features. The notebook has not only specially secured BIOS. This system not only supports Intel’s Anti-Theft technology, but also a TPM (TCG 1.2) encryption for the hard drive and SmartCard reader.
